2008 Mississippi Bail Agent Pre-Licensing
How do I become a bail bondsman?
The MBAA will offer a 40 hour bail agent Pre-Licensing class (new agents, those switching license types of those whose licenses have been expired for more than one year) in Ridgeland, Mississippi. This course satisfies section 83-39-3 of the Code of Mississippi which requires submission of proof of completion of 40 hours of Pre-Licensing education for those seeking to be licensed as a professional bail agent, soliciting bail agent or bail enforcement agent.
Where and when will the Pre-Licensing course be held?
September 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th, 2008 in Ridgeland, MS. You must be present all four days to receive your PL certificate of attendance. Pre-registration deadline is September 5th.
November 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th, 2008 in Ridgeland, MS. You must be present all four days to receive your PL certificate of attendence. Pre-registration deadline is October 24th.
*All money MUST BE IN OUR OFFICE on or before the pre-registration deadline to receive the pre-registration cost of $1,300.00, postmark dates do not matter. Registration after the deadline is $1,400.00.
All classes will be held at the MS Bail Agents Association office, 805 S. Wheatly, Ridgeland, MS 39157. The PL classes begin at 8 a.m.

I-55 North or South to Countyline Rd. Go east on Countyline Rd., towards Northpark Mall. Turn left on Wheatly. Multi-story building on left just past Wal-Mart. MBAA office is located on the bottom floor.
How much does the course cost?
Pre-registration cost for the course is $1,300.00, your cashier's check or money order must be received by the deadline prior to the conference you attend. The day of the conference or after the deadline you may pay by cashier's check, money order or cash (payment at the door or after the pre-registration deadline is $1,400.00). Lunch is not included for classes.

Each participant will receive a Bail in Mississippi manual. The course begins promptly at 8 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m. each day. At the end of the course, you will be given a Certificate of Attendance. You are required to submit for filing your Certificate of Attendance (original copy) with the Mississippi Department of Insurance (Phone: 601-359-3569). A duplicate copy of your Certificate of Attendance will be provided for $2.00. Participants must be present each day to receive their Certificate of Attendance. |
