ID cards now available

The MBAA now has the ability to make ID cards for all licensed bail and bail enforcement agents. On the front of the ID card is your picture, type of license you hold, your license number and states that you are licensed through the MS Department of Insurance. On the back of the ID card is your name, bonding company you work with, their address and phone number.

If you would like to purchase an ID card they are available at all continuing education classes, and general assembly conferences. For a list of those dates visit the Education and Up Coming Meeting pages of the website. The cost for the ID is $15.00 for one or $25.00 for two (a duplicate).

We hope everyone will consider purchasing an ID. They allow for you to be recognized by jails, officers and courts as a licensed bail agent in Mississippi. Remember 100% of the revenue from sale of these ID cards funds the scholarship program.

New Incentives

Education Credit
1. You can now earn your Continuing Education credit by attending all three (3) of the General Assembly Conferences in a license year. General Assembly Conferences are scheduled for October, January, and July. You must also pay an annual fifty dollar ($50.00) registration fee and be a current voting member. By completing these three (3) requirements, you will have earned your Continuing Education certificate for that license year.

Membership
2. As an incentive for bringing in voting members to the MS Bail Agents Association. Each "voting member", as of August 1, 2009, will receive $20.00 credit toward their 2010 voting membership renewal for each new voting member they sponsor. Maximun of five "5" new members per sponsor. Membership applications now include a space to list the sponsor name and date. Credit will be given July 2010.

NOTICE
On the Continuing Education registration form it will ask for your age, date of birth, bail license number and years in business. You must fill in all this information, it is very important. You have to complete 8 hours of "CE" EVERY year, so be sure to send your registration form along with your $150.00. If you do not do this you will not receive credit. Without this credit, your License could be in jeopardy.
